Frequently asked questions

How are candles made?

All our candles are handcrafted in Spain, making each one unique and slightly different from the photos on our website. Handmade production may result in small imperfections, adding to their charm. At Random Stuff, we ensure every product is carefully packaged and delivered in good condition.

What should I do if the wick gets buried in the wax?

If the wick gets buried, gently remove the excess wax around it to expose the wick. Ensure it’s centered for the next burn, which will help maintain an even burn. Please, check this page.

What care does an artisanal candle require?

To care for your artisanal candle, trim the wick to 5mm before each use, avoid drafts, and ensure the candle burns until the wax melts evenly across the entire surface. Please, check this page.

Why doesn’t my candle burn evenly?

Uneven burning can happen if the candle isn’t allowed to burn long enough to melt the surface fully. Let the candle burn for 2–3 hours during its first use to avoid this. Please, check this page.

Is it normal to find small imperfections in the candle?

Yes, small imperfections are normal in handmade candles. These minor differences do not affect the performance or quality and are part of the unique, handcrafted process.

Why is the wick slightly off-center?

As our candles are handmade, slight variations like an off-center wick may occur. There’s no problem with this; just reposition the wick gently before lighting to ensure an even burn.

Why is my candle not exactly like the photos?

Handmade candles can have slight variations in color, shape, or finish. These differences are part of their artisanal nature and make each candle unique, adding to its charm.

What is net weight?

Net weight refers to the weight of the candle wax only, excluding the container. However, many brands include the jar in the total weight, so it's important to check the details.
